Project Body Type honors the human form with a new typeface that requires you to acknowledge real people—and their diverse bodies—whenever you read or write with it.

Our Bodies Our Voices Our Bodies Our Voices Our Bodies Our Voices Our Bodies Our Voices Our Bodies Our Voices Our Bodies Our Voices Our Bodies Our Voices Our Bodies Our Voices Our Bodies Our Voices

But it’s more than just a typeface. It’s a collective effort of more than 50 people based in New York and other parts of the world; a series of stories from the participants about their experiences in their bodies. It’s a form of design activism from a team of creatives who believe in bodily autonomy. Every letter is a love letter to our humanity and diversity.

Project Body Type is founded by Meng Shui, a Creative Director based in NYC. Before this project Meng was a major force in launching and growing the period underwear brand Thinx. Her work has changed the conversation around menstruation in the U.S. and around the world. She is passionate about pushing big creative ideas with inclusivity at their core.
