“The ampersand represents represents what it's like to be human. We create ourselves from opposing experiences, feelings, thoughts, and motivations—all unfolding in real time. For example, we have two eyes that see two different pictures and it is true to say, ‘I see this’ and ‘I see that’ at the same time. And from that difference we create something that is our own. The ampersand strings these pieces together, separate yet full.”
